Please remove your cabanas, tents, umbrellas and other structures before 7:00 PM each evening. This will allow the sea turtles to crawl onto the beach at night to lay their eggs and allow the beach machines to clean the entire beach the next morning.

EAST COAST No water samples were collected this week from the east coast of Florida.
NORTHWEST FLORIDA Water samples collected this week in Choctawhatchee Bay (Okaloosa County), alongshore of Panama City Beach (Bay County) and offshore of the St. Marks River (Wakulla County) all contained no Karenia brevis, the Florida red tide organism.
SOUTHWEST FLORIDA Background concentrations of Karenia brevis, the Florida red tide organism, were detected this week alongshore of Sarasota County near New Pass and Venice Inlet. All other samples collected alongshore between Pinellas and Collier counties contained no K. brevis.
The FWRI Red Tide Status Line is now available to callers to hear a recording detailing red tide conditions throughout the state. FWRI updates the recording each Friday by 5 p.m. after sampling efforts for the week have been completed and analyzed.
